Originally from Turin and now happily based in Cologne, 200 Records' new artist 6884 delivers a collection of deep vibes as debut release: "Pieces from Melancholia" is a four-track exploration of 6884's sound, where dub tonalities blend with cosmic percussions in a way that fits perfectly with the Autumn mood.

6884 – whose friends actually call by his real name, Stefano – grew up with the love for the sound of Detroit, which he elaborated in an unique and intimate way. His vibes owe a lot to his friends and mentors Robert Babicz and Kollektiv Turmstrasse, and his technique reflects the constant evolution of that 12-years-old that started composing on a Playstation and spent the following 16 years with his mind (and heart) wandering through synth chords and 909 patterns. But the only way to get a glimpse on who 6884 really is, is to listen to what 6884 does: "Pieces from Melancholia" is the perfect chance to start knowing an artist of which you will surely hear more.
